Our History

The History of The 24 Club

The "24" Club was organized in 1942, during WWII. It originally was a Pilot Club, but members decided they wanted all their money to be used locally. Their motto was "Serve in Silence". When their main money raising project, the Charity Ball, became so large, they decided the community deserved to know how the money raised was being spent for charity. So, the club started publicizing their activities and projects.
The main fundraiser  for the Club is now the Annual 24 Home Tour, which takes place every June.

The 24 Club is still ran by the bi-laws that where originally set forth by the Pilot Club. The “24” Club is named for the numbers on members, membership at no time will exceed 24 members.

The 24 Club’s Mission Statement is: “To be of real service by supporting educational, charitable and needy project in Grant County”.

The Club’s objectives are: to provide scholarships for Grant County women at WNMU, to undertake charitable projects in the community which – empower girls and women and also serve the needy.
